Well done ladies 👏👏.

Our FANTASTIC trio💪💪💪.

As the All Ireland Indoor Championships draw to a close this evening, we wish to acknowledge and applaud the mighty CRH trio of Patrick Lee, Brian Griffin, and Kieva Kelly

All three represented our club with such determination this weekend, and we are EXCEPTIONALLY proud of all their efforts.

Patrick Lee put in an epic performance in the u13 600 m with extremely tough competition. Patrick qualified for this event through his Connacht Championship time of 1.46.3 which knocked 2 seconds of his P.B on the day. Today, he fought hard from the gun as he knew he had it all to do, and he showed such courage and bravery. He followed his race plan to perfection and managed to cross the line in 1.42.78- a new P.B by 4 seconds - awarding him an impressive 5th place overall.

Brian Griffin also showed bravery with his performances in the Shot Putt and High Jump yesterday. He finished in 10th place in both disciplines, which certainly needs to be applauded, considering he only started these events in the Connacht Championship. Brian's focus and determination have gained him great experience and knowledge and will help this fine athlete develop and excel in the upcoming outdoor championships.

Kieva Kelly flew the female flag for CRH and did so with fearlessness. It was Kieva's first Indoor All Ireland, which is daunting for any athlete, but she didn't let it phase her and showed great promise in the u12 60m.

Having three athletes competing on a national stage with the very best in the country is a fantastic achievement for our club. These athletes reached their successes this weekend because of the mammoth team effort, which exists both within CRH and within Galway Athletics. Many coaches from other clubs have also supported these athletes and it this collective effort, which will ensure athletics in Galway continue to flourish.

Bring on the Outdoors🥳🥳🥳

Best of luck to our 4 athletes representing CRH in this weekends All Ireland Indoor Championships in Athlone.

Tomorrow, we have Kieva Kelly flying the female flag in the girls' u12 60m sprint, and she is joined by Brian Griffin, who partakes in two disciplines - u12 Shot Putt and High Jump💪💪.

Then, on Sunday, stepping up for CRH are Isla Day and Patrick Lee. Isla runs in the u15 800m and Patrick in the u13 600m.

A great spread of events for our small club, which clearly shows CRH, with support from experts from other clubs, are doing their best to expose our athletes to as many opportunities as possible - the joy of athletics 💪💪.

Great coverage of our 'black and red army' from last week's Connaught Championships in Athlone in our local papers this week. Many thanks to the Tuam Herald and Connacht Tribune for their continued support💪. ...

Another medal to add to the league table 🥳.

Day Two of the Connacht Championships was a female affair for CRH, with four ladies flying our red and black flag with pride.

In the u14, we had Ella Acton claiming a PB in the 60 m and Amy Joyce giving her all in the 2km walk.

We were represented in the u15's by Isla Day. Isla knocked .04 of a second of her Galway time in the 60m clocking 8.46 for 60 m ......a seriously impressive P.B 💪 and awarding her 5th place in a competitive field.

She then went on to claim Silverware in the 800m by finishing 3rd which makes her the 5th CRH athlete heading to the All Irelands.🥳

Isobelle Conroy followed her teammates' lead by claiming a P.B in the 60 m and holding her own in the 800m.

We are EXCEPTIONALLY proud of these four ladies. They are fabulous role models for our younger athletes as their determination and commitment to athletics are to be admired and applauded 👏👏.
