Galway Outdoors ’22- Day 2
Glorious weather enables CRH to scorch the track .
All our u9 to u12 athletes performed superbly today in the Galway Outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
In the individual events we had a Gold medal and an impressive new PB for Patrick Lee in the u12 600 m. Elizabeth Mannion joined him with an equally impressive new PB and a silver in the U12 60m.
Hazel Dinkin has taken her new event by storm by claiming a bronze in the u12 1km walk.
Our u11 girls were outstanding today with 5 of them appearing in the top 6 in the 600 m. We had a Gold for Aoibhe Daly and a silver for Elise Day.
Amber Sweeney impressed hugely with her first outing in the u11 turbo javelin by claiming a bronze.
Brian Griffin followed on from last years All Ireland Turbo Javelin performance by claiming a bronze today in the u11s.
Our new long jump in Lakeview is certainly bearing fruit and Aaron Lally proved this today by scoring a bronze in the u9 Long Jump.
The pairings competition which affords u9 to u11 athletes opportunities to go through to the Connacht Championship will see lots of CRH red and black.
