And our job is complete 🥳🥳🥳.
Coordinating the Galway Outdoor Championships could have been a hugely challenging task, but it was made easy by the great teamwork within our club........we rose to the occasion, and the two day event was a great success.
Our athletes today followed on from the successes of their team mates from yesterday with again lots of PB's , silverware, and of course, tones of fun.
Elizabeth Mannion set the tone this a.m in the hurdles by claiming a PB and placing 4th in the u13 hurdles. She then went on to claim another PB in the 80m and scored a bronze medal.

Fionn Creaven joined Saoirse with success in the Shot Putt by claiming a silver medal and a PB.
All our u13 athletes put in great performances in the 80m and the 600m. Sean Howley knocked a very impressive 10 sec of his PB and Ryan Scully a massive 4 and Patrick Lee claimed a silver medal.
Our long jump participants, Sean Howley, Donnacha Langan, Stephen Toner, Joey Flaherty, and Patrick Hession, all did great jumps and claimed PB's.

Overall , a great weekend for CRH where each sector of our club performed from athletes to coaches to parents......CRH is alive and kicking 🥳🥳......bring on the Connacht Championships💪💪💪💪.
Fun in the sun 🌞 for CRH.
CRH was charged with the 'lovely' task of organising this years Galway Outdoor Championships, and today, the team effort within our club was clearly evident........coaches, parents, grandparents and the athletes themselves all pulled together to ensure Day One was a huge success.
The positive team effort within the club obviously had a great influence on our athletes' performances, with many crossing the finish line with smiling faces.
All our athletes had a fabulous experience with many PBs achieved.
We came away with silver ware also, which added to the enjoyment.
The day began with
Brian Griffin claiming a silver in the u12 Shot putt and bronze in the 60m hurdles.
Aoibhe Daly and Kieva Kelly flew the female flag in the same age group with Aoibhe scoring a silver medal in the u12 600m and Kieva a bronze in the same event. Kieva then went on to claim another bronze in the u12 60 m.💪
The u 11 girls had strong representation in many events, and they all tried hard but silverware was claimed here also with Aoife Lily Connolly claiming a silver in the u11 turbo javelin and she was then joined by Lauren Foley to claim a silver paired medal in the same event.
On the track, the u11 girls claimed a silver paired medal with Laoise Connaugton and Eve Shannahan running exceptionally well in the u11 500m.
Our only u9 girl, Abbie Sweeney, did superbly on her second outing for our club by claiming a silver medal in the 300m.
All our relay teams tried exceptionally hard with many great performances, but our u12 two girl teams shone brightly. Once again, they crossed the line with only 1 sec between them, but our team consisting of Kieva Kelly, Elise Day, Holly Myers, and Ella Crowley claimed a bronze medal.

Our FANTASTIC trio💪💪💪.
As the All Ireland Indoor Championships draw to a close this evening, we wish to acknowledge and applaud the mighty CRH trio of Patrick Lee, Brian Griffin, and Kieva Kelly
All three represented our club with such determination this weekend, and we are EXCEPTIONALLY proud of all their efforts.
Patrick Lee put in an epic performance in the u13 600 m with extremely tough competition. Patrick qualified for this event through his Connacht Championship time of 1.46.3 which knocked 2 seconds of his P.B on the day. Today, he fought hard from the gun as he knew he had it all to do, and he showed such courage and bravery. He followed his race plan to perfection and managed to cross the line in 1.42.78- a new P.B by 4 seconds - awarding him an impressive 5th place overall.
Brian Griffin also showed bravery with his performances in the Shot Putt and High Jump yesterday. He finished in 10th place in both disciplines, which certainly needs to be applauded, considering he only started these events in the Connacht Championship. Brian's focus and determination have gained him great experience and knowledge and will help this fine athlete develop and excel in the upcoming outdoor championships.
Kieva Kelly flew the female flag for CRH and did so with fearlessness. It was Kieva's first Indoor All Ireland, which is daunting for any athlete, but she didn't let it phase her and showed great promise in the u12 60m.
Having three athletes competing on a national stage with the very best in the country is a fantastic achievement for our club. These athletes reached their successes this weekend because of the mammoth team effort, which exists both within CRH and within Galway Athletics. Many coaches from other clubs have also supported these athletes and it this collective effort, which will ensure athletics in Galway continue to flourish.
Bring on the Outdoors🥳🥳🥳
Best of luck to our 4 athletes representing CRH in this weekends All Ireland Indoor Championships in Athlone.
Tomorrow, we have Kieva Kelly flying the female flag in the girls' u12 60m sprint, and she is joined by Brian Griffin, who partakes in two disciplines - u12 Shot Putt and High Jump💪💪.
Then, on Sunday, stepping up for CRH are Isla Day and Patrick Lee. Isla runs in the u15 800m and Patrick in the u13 600m.
